Key ResponsibilitiesAccountability for the day to day running of the team, including prioritisation of investigations, fraud risk management and payment security priorities including deployment and management of resource and successful workflow planning.Accountable and responsible for ensuring reliable, high quality, reports and briefings are issued which identify the key issues, make sound judgements, conclusions and recommendations relating to the issues under enquiry, investigation or review.Promote the continuous improvement of security and risk related awareness, risk management and control processes across the Bank.Provide a professional, independent and objective investigation, fraud and payment security service.Responsibility for minimising financial and reputational risk through compliance with legal obligations; timely action to trace/freeze funds; protecting the Bank against loss of its reputation; cost-effective investigations and reviews concluded in a timely manner.Ensure that work undertaken is consistent with and targeted to the issues subject to investigation, review or resolution.Establish and maintain close working relationships within the relevant sectors and industry and appropriate law enforcement agencies.Specific ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction over the function developing capability and driving major cultural change in support of the Banks strategy.Build relationships with key senior contacts across the Bank to maximise effectiveness.Lead the delivery of the strategic priorities and plans as laid out by CS relevant to investigations, fraud risk and payment security.Effective allocation of people, financial and technology resources within the function with overall budget responsibility.Ensure compliance with local laws and regulationsCompliance and Awareness Ensure awareness and compliance across the Bank with obligations to report and escalate any (suspected) breaches/incidents in accordance with requirements and timelines. Financial ManagementAs a senior member of the CS function, ensure that the overall budget for investigations, fraud risk management and payment security is managed effectively.Provide input on budget requirements throughout budgeting process.Ensure personal expenditure, including any travel costs, is managed in line with budget.Risk ManagementEnsure investigations, fraud and payment security risks are properly identified, evaluated, recorded and mitigating action plans are monitored, and escalation of significant issues occurs in line with agreed escalation procedures.Risk Appetite clearly understand all the material risks that exist through a cycle of risk assessment activity.Culture Demonstrate that understand, uphold and promote the Conduct Risk standard through the completion of GPL.Conduct Risk ensure that conduct risk policy standards and governance requirements are implemented and adhered to.1stLine of Defence: Complies with relevant Bank Policies, testing and certifying (or considers and escalates) the adequacy and effectiveness of the businesss controls on a regular basisEstablishes and documents (or follows and/or maintains) operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet Bank and local policy requirements.People ManagementPerformance Management: Comply with HR performance processes by setting objectives for all direct reports and conducting mid/full year performance reviews.Direct responsibility for a team of investigators, fraud and payment security specialists.Drive Succession Planning and Talent Management processes, to ensure the continued development of the organisation.Manage in accordance with the Manufacturing Values and the Bank s performance management frameworks, ensuring clear and stretching objectives and personal development plans are in place for all people within the team, to build capability.The RequirementsExperienceSignificant people management experience.
